Anna Maria Island Beach Cafe
Anna Maria Island Beach Cafe
If you are ever near Anna Maria Island, definitely stop by Anna Maria Island Cafe for some breakfast. Who can resist breakfast on the beach? Ok, who am I kidding, I love the beach, and breakfast on the beach is a good start to the day. We spent three full days at Manatee Public Beach. It was amazing! But the first day we didn’t get breakfast, because we had no clue it was there. We opted for McDonalds for a quick breakfast meal on the go.
Of course we make our way to the beach after a few stops and some Saturday beach traffic. When we get there, we notice the line waiting at the cafe window. At that point we realized we should have waited a little longer for breakfast. Of course this was our first visit to this beach, so we had to find out some how. Now we know. The only problem, we are creatures of habit, and very rarely stray away from places we know are good and reasonable. So we will be back for this.
The first day at the beach, my husband and I went for a walk and detoured a bit. We headed down Bradenton Beach, and my husband was on a mission to a restaurant down the way a bit for a “snack”. We left the kids to swim and soak up sun. (when I say kids, they are in their twenties and capable of taking care of themselves, sometimes – Love you kiddo). On our little detour which turned into being almost 4 miles round trip, the restaurant my hubby was headed for was closed and didn’t open until 4pm (throat clear, husbands and their food driven ways). Since that place was closed, we made our way back towards the beach and got ice cream at the Holy Cow Ice Cream Shop.
While we were gone the kids got hungry, so my daughter sent her boyfriend to get some food at the cafe. He got a Fish and Chips meal, with another side of cheese covered fries. We had to take a little taste of course, and it was good, and so much food. Not only is the food good at Anna Maria Island Cafe, but very much affordable. So now we know the food is good, and they serve breakfast. We made our way back down to the beach for breakfast for two days (we took a day break in between).
Like I said before, we are creatures of habit, so with the trek from the Winter Quarters Manatee Encore RV resort where we were staying to the beach, we needed a little coffee in the veins, so we stopped at McDonalds on the way. Day one breakfast on the beach for me was Two Eggs (any style) w/ Meat. Toast and Homefries. My husband got Hash and eggs. Both were very good, and very filling. My in laws both got a breakfast sandwich.
We took a one day break in between for breakfast, but had to make our way back to the beach before our trip was over. So we got up early Tuesday morning, again stopped for McDonalds coffee midway, then made our way to the beach for breakfast and to soak up some sun. Both my daughter and I had eggs benedict, I had fruit on the side and she had homefries. My Mother in law had a Belgium waffle with Strawberries and Whip Cream, Yum! The guys both got the all you can eat pancake breakfast. (FYI that is all they talked about for two days, lol).
Now that we know the food is good at Anna Maria Island Cafe, I am sure we will make plans to be in this area again. We cannot pass up a good deal and good food. Plus we have to make our way back to try Wicked Cantina for Breakfast at Bradenton Beach. Besides, the ocean is good for the heart and soul, so we can’t stay away too long.
